It’s time for a 10-minute layout!
I primarily use a quick layout for two reasons. I'll make a 10-minute layout if I have a single photo that tells a story, or I'll do a quick layout to use up some of my stash.
This layout fits both criteria. First, I loved how Zach is wearing a totally mismatched outfit with a shirt that said, “Normal is Boring.” Also, I had an awesome Simple Stories collection that I loved and wanted to use up. It had this great pattern paper which I used as my base. I added a journaling card and some embellishments from the same collection and just like that I was done.
I’ve recorded a memory, used up some paper and embellishments AND did it all in less than 10 minutes!
Quick Tip
To make this process even faster, when I am sorting photos, if a single photo jumps out at me that doesn't really go with any other theme or category, I file it in a spot marked "10-minute layout." When I get down to the end of a paper collection, I’ll pull that container out and find a picture that would work for the papers left in that stash. It’s an easy way to feel productive and thrifty all at the same time.
