Good Dog

Occasionally the furry members of our family make it into the scrapbooks. Scout and Dakota are typically double trouble, but on a hot summer day I found them sitting quietly under our patio table. I snapped this photo and thought they looked so angelic they deserved their own layout.

Scrapbooking Tips

This page literally took less than 10 minutes to put together! When I scrapbooked this photo, I had just completed another layout about the dogs and took the scraps that were just sitting on my table and cut the strips and photo mat. Using a brown ink pad, I inked the edges of the pattern paper to help them stand out and the. I adhered everything down according to a Scrapbook Generation Sketch for a single photo layout.

The paper collection had these adorable cutouts that looked like scrabble tiles that spelled out “Good Dog.” I popped up every other letter with adhesive foam to give some dimension and even overlapped them to fit the title in the space under the 6x4” photo. Also, overlapping and tilting the letters help save time because you don't have to worry about perfect spacing and getting everything straight. I did not add any journaling or embellishments so once the title was on, the layout was complete.

I love it when I can get a project done in 10 minutes or less!
